Effective Date: August 19, 2025
PTOMoms.com is committed to protecting the privacy and safety of children online. Our platform is designed for use by adults — specifically parents, guardians, teachers, and PTO leaders who participate in school-related activities and collaboration.
1. No Accounts for Children Under 13
Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to create an account on PTOMoms.com. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child has registered in violation of this policy, the account will be removed and any associated data deleted.
2. Users Aged 13–17
Teens aged 13–17 may only use PTOMoms.com under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Accounts for students must be created and managed by an adult — such as a parent, teacher, or school administrator — and must not include sensitive personal information.
We recommend that parents oversee their teen’s activity and limit access to only age-appropriate sections of the site (e.g., viewing public supply lists or fundraiser pages).
3. Parent/Guardian Responsibilities
Parents and guardians are solely responsible for monitoring any access or use of PTOMoms.com by minors. We encourage you to talk with your child about online safety and ensure that their interactions follow community guidelines and privacy expectations.
4. Educator Responsibility
Teachers and PTO leaders who create or manage classroom or student pages must ensure that all content is appropriate for public viewing and complies with their school district’s student privacy policies.
5. Reporting Concerns
If you believe that a child under 13 has created an account, or that any content on PTOMoms.com poses a risk to a child’s safety or privacy, please contact us immediately at childsafety@ptomoms.com.
We will promptly review and remove any content that violates our child protection policies.
6. Legal Compliance
PTOMoms.com complies with applicable U.S. privacy laws including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect or store personal data from children without verified parental consent.
