Welcome to PTOMoms.com — where parents, teachers, PTO leaders, and school supporters come together to organize, collaborate, and uplift one another. These Community Guidelines outline how to be a kind, constructive, and respectful part of our platform.
By using PTOMoms.com, you agree to follow these guidelines. Let's make this the kind of space you’d want your own kid to hang out in (but also... don't let your kid hang out here unsupervised, it’s for grownups 😄).
1. Be Respectful
- Treat others how you want to be treated. (Simple, right?)
- No bullying, harassment, or aggressive behavior. This is a safe space.
- Debate ideas respectfully. Personal attacks? Not welcome here.
2. Keep It Clean & School-Safe
- No profanity, hate speech, or explicit content.
- All posts, fundraisers, and listings must be family-friendly.
- This is a space for *school-related* collaboration — not personal drama or viral outrage.
3. No Spam or Self-Promotion (Without Permission)
- Don't use PTOMoms to sell unrelated services, MLMs, or “get rich” schemes.
- Only promote fundraisers, events, or products if they’re school-approved or PTO-backed.
- Posting affiliate links or commercial ads without consent may result in account suspension.
4. Respect Privacy
- Do not share private info (yours or anyone else’s) like phone numbers, student records, or home addresses.
- If you’re posting photos of events or students, make sure you have permission.
- Teachers, please don’t share classroom details that violate your district’s privacy policy.
5. Upload Only What You Have Rights To
- Don’t upload copyrighted logos, images, or music without permission.
- Make sure your fundraiser images, supply list graphics, or school pages use assets you’re allowed to use.
- See our DMCA Policy for more info.
6. Follow the Rules of Your School & District
- When representing a school, PTO, or class, follow your local policies for fundraising, branding, and communication.
- If in doubt, get written approval from your school admin or PTO board.
7. Reporting & Moderation
If you see something inappropriate, you can report it using the “Report” button on posts or messages — or email moderator@ptomoms.com.
We may edit, hide, or remove content that breaks these guidelines. Repeat or serious violations may result in account warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans.
8. Kindness Is the Standard
This isn’t just about rules — it’s about values. PTOMoms is built on kindness, collaboration, and helping each other. Whether you’re organizing a carpool, selling spirit shirts, or sharing a classroom wish list, treat others with compassion and patience.
